I’m thinking today about why anyone spends time blogging. Could be a desire to see our thoughts in print, to share whatever we might think is significant in the Universe of our minds, or even to sort out the chaos lurking in said minds?
For me, I have an author page, I’m getting to the end of a novel I’m working on, I have a new project heating up in the previously mentioned chaotic mind, and I decided to cut the carbs in my diet, which means all that energy and maybe frustration has to go somewhere.
Most people who blog, I imagine, need something from you. Have you ever signed up for something “free” online, and then you’re someone’s new email friend? Happens to me all the time. A cautionary tale, maybe.
I’m not one of those. I can barely keep up with Facebook. No. I don’t keep up with Facebook. I will, however, eventually want you to take a look at my new book, and with that in mind, subsequent blogs will give excerpts which will let you know if you have an interest. (You’re looking at an author’s blog, after all.)
But tomorrow, more about this crazy thing called Blogging. And maybe something about my perfect grandchildren.
